Help with finding Camera Lens (Fish Eye)
I need a little help with finding some lenses for my Canon EOS 10D. I would really like to get a fish eye and while searching I see prices all over the place. I know you get what you pay for but I got a great deal on this 10D a few years back from some one who was upgrading. I am not a photog by any means and would like a decent lens that wont break the bank. A nice telephoto lens to add to what I currently have, a 80-200mm, so maybe something up to 300mm? Other lenses I have are a 19-35 and a 28-80mm.

A good fish eye usually is one of the more expensive lenses....
I take it you have looked at BH and Adorama? BH which usually has the best price ( cant order on Saturday) lists Fish eyes from $600-610.. no aftermarket lenses.. I can say.. as someone rediscovering photography as a hobby.... A quality prime lens has a high cost of admission.. and it is worth the premium over lesser lens

Do you really want a fisheye with all the barrel distortion or just a superwide angle lens? Big difference in the look of the images. Many people find fisheyes to be sort of a gag lens. They're fun for sure, but they're not a mainstay. A good rectilinear wide angle would be a Sigma 10-20mm. They're available new in the low $400s, used a little less.

Spiratone used to make a fisheye aux lens with orthogonal projection - low quality but I use mine for doing radiative analysis. Likely not your interest...
cheap - only $50 way back when and low quality but not horrible why do you want a fisheye? as per above, it is either for scientific use or for weird effects |

Thanks guys!
I thought about the wide angle and will look at those also but there are some crazy shots in my minds eye that I think a fish eye will be needed. I might try a local camera store that some one suggested as they rent various used lenses and see if I can really get the look or shot I am tinkering with. Then maybe I will plunk down some $ if it still keeps my interest.
