If I were the tech that was supposed to fix her car I wouldnt have said squat.
I would have taken my entire tool box, stuffed it in the driver seat, and done the alignment. Problem solved. |

I got a solution for her: always drive with her 300 lbs buddies in the passenger seat. Like that, no need for humiliating corner balance

Boo-hoo. She can console herself by crying tear drops on the free extra seat given her by Air Canada for being fat. Or worse, on me when I'm the unfortunate one shoe-horned in next to her on a flight with a different carrier.
No sympathy. Stop shoving bad food in your face. Hit the gym. Heck - just take a damn walk! |

When I was in my 20's, I worked at a ford and toyota dealership. This was when they first came out with the little Toyota vans that were rear wheel drive with very short wheel bases. The engines were under the driver and front passenger seats.
We had a brand new one that the customer kept bringing back because the tires were wearing badly. The customer and his wife were really really large people. Probably 400 lbs for the man and a solid 350 for the woman. So that's 750 lbs plus slung out over the front tires. Wicked alignment change with the weight up front in the little van. Her parents often went with them on trips and they were every bit as large. Now we're talking a solid 1500 pounds of people plus all their luggage in the van. The problem with that is it exceeded the weight rating for the entire vehicle. As we all know, this effects the steering, handling and braking... I would not consider that vehicle, operated in that fashion, to be safe for the public highways. An 80's toyota van isn't a 3/4 ton Chevy van... angela

Fatso's, we have a problem. And it's a reeealy disgusting one!
While the bottom link says 24.5% of Americans are obese, I just heard on the news a day or two ago that that has risen to over 30%. Gee that's not good! Do ya think maybe that has something to do with the rapid rise in diabetes? ![]() http://diabetes.webmd.com/news/20051026/no-end-in-sight-to-rapid-rise-in-diabetes Oct. 26, 2005 -- Diabetes continues to soar in the U.S., with no signs of slowing down. OMG! Maybe even heart disease? ![]() And what about our fun rides? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2005/08/24/percentage-of-obese-ameri_n_6130.html Small World ride revamped for bigger passengers The Small World ride now must accommodate adults who frequently weigh north of 200 pounds, which it often cannot do. Increasingly, overweighted boats get to certain points in the ride and bottom out, becoming stuck in the flume. When a boat does bottom out, a long line of other boats backs up behind it, their passengers slowly going mad from listening to the ride’s theme song. ( ![]() http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2005/08/24/percentage-of-obese-ameri_n_6130.html Despite a smattering of government initiatives to curb the trend, Americans continued to gain weight last year as the adult obesity rate inched up to 24.5 percent from 23.7 percent in 2003, a new report says. In New York, 22.1 percent of adults were obese last year, up from 20.9 percent in 2003. Overall, 57.7 percent of New York adults were overweight, a more general category that includes both the moderately overweight and the obese.

That's just plain mean! They should make her run laps around their car lot until the problem goes away.

just leave the boges on the right, install bilstein sports on the left, and preload the swaybars with some longer bolts and washers

I worked for cadillac in the 90's as a wrench, we would always compensate on alignments for "big people." We had one return customer that had to have a 4 x 4 between the front and back seat to keep the seat from breaking. The car was under warranty, but he had broken the seat so many times we were no longer able to cover it under warranty.

I've never understood why you see really, really big people in the tiniest cars. It's like seeing the huge women wearing really tight pants. Just because you can force yourself into something that's too small, doesn't mean that you're actually smaller.
I feel sorry for the big folks that haven't come to terms with the fact that they are big.

Sorry but call it like it is! When I flew our Company PA-32-300 for the Boss I had to get the fat people up front. I just came right out and said, "we aint going anywhere with your fat a$$ in the back seat" besides If we ever go in I don't want you coming forward and crushing me!
