any rap acceptable for mainstream television can hardly be called good rap. man what embarassing garbage. rap has been in the toilet for 10 years at least...Pdiddy is a lame-o disgrace

and what about paul mccartney...i love the man, but why must he play the crappiest song he ever wrote? i cant stand dave grohls heavy handed playing but, i guess it was an interesting take on the tune....too bad the sound mix was horrible

Same for Whitney Houston. If there wasn't some famous person whacked out of their mind we wouldn't have all those YouTube clips and "Access Hollywood" and "TMZ" soundbites to keep the 'Grammys Ship' floating for a few extra days.

Neil looked like he had one too many facelifts and was cruising on a serious cocktail of meds. But there was still more talent there than a dozen L'il Waynes or Katy Perics (sp?), and for that I have a certain respect. I mean frigging BB King could barely hold his guitar, but I'd rather watch him standing still than some of the junk they had on last night. Best voice of the evening was Sugarland in my view.

No one making music should be a role model. Unless of course we are talking about Shaun Hannity's concert series...

What did Chris Martin say about ripping off Satriani on 60 Minutes?

IMHO, Coldplay is waaaay over-rated. They are talented, and are decent enough in that "I'll put this on as background music" kind of way, but they are incredibly bland and lacking of inventiveness. They are basically a mass-market amalgm of U2, "The Bends"-era Radiohead, and Travis. Actually, I liked them better when they were basically indistinguishable from Travis; since then, their scope has widened, but their talent hasn't improved.

Just my $0.02

Yeah, I Tivo'd the whole thing, but fast-forwarded through 90% of it. Yeesh. And yes, Taylor Swift is horrible live. It is really saying something that her Grammy duo with Miley was one of her best live performances IMO. I've heard her live opening for George Strait, and it was awful. That guitar she had was awesome though! I want it.

Oh, and sorry, I just can't get on the "brilliance" of Radiohead bandwagon either. "OK Computer" was alright, but everything since has been a big Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot IMO. YMMV of course...

I mean I get the innovative point, but does anyone actually enjoy listening to this stuff—without a serious E-buzz I mean?

It's like "interesting" art that is innovative, but you really wouldn't want it hanging on your wall. Whisky Tango Foxtrot.?

Thank you.

May I ask what the genre-appropriate drug would be for Radiohead?

I'm pretty sure my neighbour will have this "in Rainbows" disc. Let me start by giving that a test-drive.

I'm long on single malt, BC bud and vicodin. Anything else, and I'd appreciate a heads up.

Yes, I do. Radiohead has been my favorite band since... well, when did "OK Computer" come out? 1996? They are absolutely amazing. Their worst albums (Amnesiac - I don't really count Pablo Honey) are better than the best stuff put out by other "good" bands. Yorke and Co. seem to understand aural rhythm and melody on a subconscious level; they just tap into threads of harmony and dissonance that parallels some of the great Jazz musicians... and, yet, they're rock. Sure, they're a hell of a lot more experimental and electronic than they were in the 1990s, but they still f*ing rock. AND, as an added bonus, they are one of the greatest live bands on the planet.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot = WTF = What the Fu**
