Well, since we already have a random pic thread for just about everything else, why not a Rolex 24Hrs/12 Hours of Sebring picture you have taken thread
![]() I know Paul will be posting a lot, I'm hoping others will too. Remember, this is pictures that you have taken or a friend took of you. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And what Daytona event would be complete without this ![]() ![]()

1986... taken fairly near the end of the infield straight... this is actually two photos edited together by a friend... I sent him a few of my scans and he noticed they would be easy to fit together (look at the wall at the entry to the banking in the background).

![]() Judy Stropus. The famed timer reputedly kept lap charts of every car for the entire race and was so accurate that the stewards asked her to settle timing disputes. ![]() A little tweaking for nighttime practrice. ![]()

Do you have a larger collection of them online someplace?

HardDrive - thanks. Just found them while organizing my files. No larger collection, but there are more I'm sure.
Bet you never thought you'd see this in this thread. In '76, Holbert's Porsche-Audi took a box stock 914 off the showroom floor, added some lights and ran the entire 12 hours of Sebring on one set of tires. One minor problem with brain overheating, that's all. Only driver I remember was Bill Scott. ![]() Bert Everitt, Conshohocken, PA, who won the under 2 liter class, Sebring '68 ![]() Test firing a new motor the night before the race. Gary Belcher's #9, finished 2nd, IIRC. Before the race, the announcer asked him if the huge gold numbers on his doors were real gold leaf. Why yes, he said. Announcer - why? Gary - why not? ![]()
