I thought the Wife left ya!

BTW my goal was to have it paid off by 40, did it at 42, and I will be 50 next week, sleep like a baby every nightSmileWavy

Congrats.... I managed to get myself on that ship too several years ago. That on top of driving non-financed used cars, makes for relatively stress free sailing.

Les Paul 02-12-2009 09:58 AM

3 weeks from now no debt whatsoever. July 1st I will be retired with a decent retirement. Thank god I wasn't counting on my 401. And thank god my wife likes her job and plans on working a couple of more years.

rammstein 02-12-2009 09:58 AM

Quick- get a home equity loan and buy a bunch of stuff. YOU DESERVE IT!!! :D

Gratz on paying it off.

The last car we financed was a Volvo wagon, back in '82. And it turned out to be a lemon.

9 years.

One car loan...we call it the prime people mover. We put a lot on miles on the PPM and I always move it down the bench and buy new or used, depending (thanks Whippedpup!) at 5/6 years or 100k.

We generally sell the old PPMs at 8 to ten years, except the trucks:cool:

Congrats, Jim...

Stop paying your property taxes and find out who really owns your place.
