Barn Find: What is a Speedster worth?

I'm looking at an ad for what seems to be a 356 Speedster covered under dust. What's a restored Speedster worth and what does it cost to restore one? It's cheap enough that if it is not a Beck, I should just buy it...

They can cost a lot to restore for such a simple car, depending on what exactly it needs. I didn't think that there were any Speedsters left in barns, they're worth a fortune.

if it's in an ad, rest assured that lots of people will be bidding it up. there was one in the seattle area years ago that started at $6500. didn't end there, and it wasn't an auction at first.

I've seen a rusted out hulk that was held together with 2x4s sell for $11k... A good resto project car would be worth 25-50k, depending. Is it an A or "just" 356? Did it have a carrera engine? Does it still have the carrera engine? Fully restored speedster would be 125k (normal engine) up to maybe 300k (carrera). A rebuildable Carrera engine core is worth more than $50k alone...
