Choose One

The car is an EV. The center single seat means she will have to sit on the driver's lap. So it does have some advantages over a 911.

Girl.

svandamme 02-18-2009 11:26 AM

rinspeed... i'll take the girl...

masraum 02-18-2009 11:30 AM

That's actually a tough one.

How high performance are each (quick, fast, handling, endurance)? Do I get to test drive each?

Then you have to wonder, how long with that "new car" smell last. When will the dew be gone off of the lily?

Each could end up giving you major headache. One will likely cost a lot more to get rid of if you decide to go that route...

Jim Richards 02-18-2009 11:54 AM

what car?

vash 02-18-2009 11:58 AM

i am going to see both from a different profile, then decide.

Rikao4 02-18-2009 12:21 PM

car,
Rinspeed= silly $..
sell same = I can afford a real P, and more than one of those ladies..

Rika

afterburn 549 02-18-2009 02:32 PM

Car, can always get an other problem

KaptKaos 02-18-2009 02:41 PM

Girl.

In all likelihood, she'll outlast that POS.

Zeke 02-18-2009 02:52 PM

car.

w/o a doubt.

Jim Richards 02-18-2009 05:11 PM

what car?

Aerkuld 02-18-2009 05:16 PM

I'd like to put a deposit on one of them.

KarlCarrera 02-18-2009 05:30 PM

Decisions, decisions, I should be so lucky. But, then again, these are honest questions??? New car smell is the best. :D

vash 02-19-2009 08:05 AM

yes she does.

afterburn 549 02-19-2009 08:17 AM

Yes, the car does (she)

Bill Douglas 02-19-2009 11:59 AM

If we are talking about a quick test drive - the girl. Anything long term, I'll take the car.

I would have to put it on lay-a-way.:D

Jim Richards 02-19-2009 05:55 PM

what car?

pwd72s 02-19-2009 05:58 PM

ZR1 Corvette...if I was going for something fast.

Superman 02-20-2009 06:09 AM

That's one ugly car. But I do like brunettes......

m21sniper 02-20-2009 06:22 AM

I would take the car. Women are fleeting, and cars age much better than they do.

Cars age better then woman, Cars are always in the mood, can really put the rubber dwn, can do it slow or fast, look good evn the morning after.
Cars make women look good..that's why they have them in the car pictures..so its a matter of logic

KaptKaos 02-20-2009 10:13 AM

FTA:

Power comes from a lithium-ion batteries that Rinspeed says is available in two different stack configurations - one optimized for short trips, the other for long-distance driving. Rinspeed doesn't offer any specs on the batteries or even say who produced them.

Or how much they'll cost to replace ($15k++) in 4 years when they can't hold a charge anymore.

you seem to be mis-informed on how long Li-ion batteries last

Cars can also be used as woman attractants.

Woman can only rarely be used as car attractants.

Fine... 2 years. I was feeling generous this morning.

And yes, I know Li-Ion. Every laptop that I have sold or serviced for the last several years has used them. That's several hundred laptops, that we track and take care of and know how long the batteries last and when they start to degrade and not hold a full charge.

And yes, I know there are ways to maximize your battery life and life-expectancy, but there will be people using these cars and you can't expect them to always follow the rules about charging, recharging, etc.... regardless of what electronic controls you put into place.

Don't forget that ambient temperature and operating temperature also affect these batteries and they they don't take too well to being over charged.

So yeah, I guess I could use a little primer on these, seeing as I never work with them..... :p

RWebb 02-20-2009 03:43 PM

few cars use the same Li technology as notebook computers.

don't assume that you have an engineering understanding of something because you sell or service the products that engineers design

not meant to be unduly harsh, but that is it, bluntly p[ut

KaptKaos 02-20-2009 05:27 PM

Why not? You seem to assume to know everything.

And no, I don't want to read your credentials AGAIN.

And you shouldn't assume that the largest consumers of Lithium Ion batteries don't try and extract better performance from their products.

Your weak attempt to bring your eco friendly car fantasy here needs to be exposed for what it is.

You're a troll.

RWebb 02-20-2009 05:35 PM

bite me, dog-boy

afterburn 549 02-21-2009 10:03 AM

OK doing good so far...but why is RWEBB a troll ?? (in your opinion)
