How can I save an eBay ad on my computer?

Not my ad, but can I take someone's ad and download/save it on my computer somehow?

You could right-click on the page and Save Page As.

I've done that, but it saves the file as a "eBayISAPI.dll.htm" file. When I go into My Documents to open it, it does open, but it seems like it is just providing a link to the original web page (for example, all the links on the page works). I thought I recalled trying that before, and when the ad finally was removed from ebay, the "saved document" on my system was gone (my recollection of that may be totally wrong tho)

I copy and paste the content in an email than save as a draft...just title it so you can find it easily.

If you are using IE you can just 'save as' under file. Saves it as it is when saved, opens in IE, and you can refresh to see changes/availability of current page.

From your browser's menu choose File->Save As-> and select "web page complete" instead of html only. I have done that for many Ebay ad's. You end up getting the html file and a similarly named folder in the same directory containing all the graphics/images.

I usually save as a PDF but I have Acrobat Pro loaded. You can always do the ol' PrtScn (print screen) key and paste it into Word or Paint trick, assuming you're on a PC, or use the Grab utility if you're on a Mac.

Make a PDF. Kind of a tangent, but you don't need acrobat to create PDF files, lots of free solutions out there. I use PDFCreator (available here). It installs as a printer, and works from any Windows program.

Easiest thing is to click on Full Screen under the View tab to get as much as the ad as possible on your screen, Push the Print Screen button on your keyboard Go to Word or Word pad or any other word processing program, open a new document, Either right click your mouse and select "Paste" or go to the Edit tab and select Paste The screen shot will be added as a picture in the open document that you can now save and call what ever you want.
