Tire reco non P car.. Hankook?
235/45/17's for my Audi A6 2.7tt. Looking for a decent all seaon performance tire. I have the P6's which Audi recomends but I dont feel like spending 130 bucks a tire. Any luck with the Hankook line?

I had them on my Toyota SUV. Totally different application, but they sucked. Wore unevenly, needed to be rebalanced, ride was 'harsh'. Have firestone's on now, and they are worlds better.
YMMV

For budget tires, you might try the Kumhos. I just get Michelin's at Costco, usually there is an $80 off coupon every few months.

I have Yokohama Avid TRZs on the Porsche. They make a touring line for about 100/per that is really good. They have like a 700 treadwear rating and ride super smooth.

I've had several sets of Kumhos, they've always been fairly good. I never keep cars long enough to comment on treadwear.
There's been a lot of great feedback regarding the General UHP tire. You might check Tire Rack to see if they offer it in your size. Probably my favorite all season UHP tire has been the Avon M500 (Tire Rack only). They absolutely transformed my 540/6. I would recommend checking Tire Rack and reading through their ratings and reviews. I'm yet to disagree with what I've read on there, it's very helpful. Also check their prices, for me they're always cheaper than the local shops, even including shipping. They saved me $100 last time I ordered.

I have Khumo and Hankook snow tires on my cars. They both seem fine and do the job. I would search on tirerack for reviews before buying anything.

I've been using Kuhmo AST's on both my Mercedes and VW with good result for an all season performance tire and they are cheap.

I've had two sets of Hankook Ventus K102 tires, one on my old 924S and another on a 5.0L Mustang I used to have. I quite liked the tires, quiet directional tread, grippy in the dry, decent traction in the wet and the best part was the price.

I've been running General Exclaims on both the Audi and the 911. Great tire and even better pricing. Highly recommended.

I think my wife's Acura TL runs the same size tires. I put Yokohama YK520's on them, and they've been perfectly fine replacements. Excellent treadwear. Quiet. Decently sticky for a passenger car tire. No complaints at all. I think they're roughly around that $130 per tire value you're not interested in paying, though.

I have never been a big Pirelli fan, and there is nothing so special about the p6 four season tires which makes me want to pay more than any other particular brand. Its not that 130 is too much in my book 130 is too much for the p6's

Well, I'm satisfied with the $130 I paid for the Yokohamas, FWIW.

Try looking at www.discounttiredirect.com
They list 50 different applications for your car each with prettyy thorough and honest reviews.. The Hankooks are $296 for a set of four to your door. Free shipping. I've bought sdeveral sets for different cars and they have been great to deal with.

Just don't buy Sumitomos. They're cheap but total crap. Both my 951 and C36 came with them installed by the PO. My C36 front tires are nearly new, but one of them has some internal issue that causes the car to pull in the direction of the tire and tramline like crazy. Alignment is spot on, the problem follows the tire. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
