Buzzards love the Drought

California appears to be in a serious drought situation, perhaps to water rationing shortly. Much of the Southeast US has been in drought condition for several years now.

TX is in it's usual feast or famine mode - currently famine. Moisture situation varies from abnormally dry to extreme drought in S. TX. Cattlemen are starting to cull herds as no grazing left and what hay is available is very expensive.

Taken this morning just down the road at a neighbors house. He's already sold off most of cows.

I think the real fight overr the next few decades will be over water, not oil.

Dry here too, we're way behind on moisture. It's expected that the record highs this week and almost zero rain/snow is going to ravage the wheat crop this year. Funny, last year we had an exceptionally wet year.

Be nice to Canadians. We have lots of both.

True, but if you tried to pipe Canadian water to TX those yokels in Kansas would siphon it all off..

I was thinking more of an "Oh OH!"

We have water and the US needs water?
Wasn't there a war over the need for oil or something like that?

Their head is somewhat red, would have to be much closer than this to see it.

They be buzzards for sure, lots of grackels here in the winter and they are much smaller. When you see them riding the thermals in big cirlces before coming in to feed, they be buzzards.

Just couldn't get any closer without crawling through the fence.

How far away is that? I'm sorry but that neck is not long enough to be a buzzard.

Pretty sure I'd just be washing mine at 5 am. Do they shut down the automatic car washes?
