My Toaster Won't Work Anymore

Can anybody give me some help here with trying to fix my Toaster. The other day it looked so greasy and grungy that I popped it into the Dish Washer. It came out clean as a whistle, but it wouldn't work anymore.

targa911S 03-09-2009 11:30 AM

Duh!

legion 03-09-2009 11:31 AM

I hear toaster can resurrect themselves after they die. Just wait.

I've heard they're more fun than a rubber ducky in the bathtub. If you plug it in first it will also keep the water warm for you.

exitwound 03-09-2009 11:35 AM

Are you serious?

Open it up. Put your mind to work. Figure it out.

I hope you put a disclaimer to that because if someone does it and hurt themselves or someone else they can come back and sue you. Ask Dueller.

Two words: bigger hammer

targa911S 03-09-2009 11:42 AM

Take it and put it in the dryer for about an hour. Should be fine.

Microwave is faster.

tabs 03-09-2009 11:45 AM

My next Thread was going to ask for some help with my Microwave Oven...it doesn't work anymore either...after I took the Toaster out of the Dishwasher and wouldn't work, I thought it still might be a little wet so I put it into the MicroWave oven to help it dry off...

Jim Richards 03-09-2009 11:46 AM

don't you have to stimulate it?

No that happens when I put the Toaster in the bathtub with me..

pwd72s 03-09-2009 11:49 AM

Ask the Government to help...it's the new way, the right way...er, I mean the new left way...I mean, ahhh fergit it!

Jim Richards 03-09-2009 11:49 AM

no, no, tabs...that stimulates you. The toaster won't be stimulated by seeing you wet and nekkid.

If the government can't fix something simple like the Banking system how do you expect them to fix a Toaster.

Dueller 03-09-2009 11:59 AM

Jim Richards 03-09-2009 12:00 PM

Won't they both be damaged by banging against each other. I think I will try putting them in one at a time?

tabs 03-09-2009 12:08 PM

I don't know about putting the dog in the Microwave to dry her off...but she sure does seem to like the washing machine.

Especially the "spin" cycle...

rick-l 03-09-2009 12:11 PM

What in a toaster will dissolve and not work if immersed in water and allowed to dry?

Did you really do this?

Do you just like to type or was it to increase your post count.

Fritz Peyerl 03-09-2009 12:13 PM

No I think them knocking against each other will help get the water out better.

tabs 03-09-2009 12:15 PM

Yeah but I don't want them to look banged up.

wrap towels around them. Or you could put a pillow in there with them.

If the Micro or the Toaster start to work again in the Dryer won't the towel or pillow catch on fire?

Hold on, Jethro... this is the first time you mentioned firearms were involved.

Maybe the crumb crud wasn't your problem to begin with.

Once the toaster and microwave oven do some banging in the dryer for a while, you have to wait a bit, but you end up with a brand new toaster oven.

porsche4life 03-09-2009 01:54 PM

Doesnt your dyer have a nifty shoe rack on the door? Set the toaster on that and then it gets the air but not tumbled. Can cook a pizza on that too. :D

creaturecat 03-09-2009 02:11 PM

European toaster - 220V - uses less energy. Quicker.
