Wow, I must have it made! The CT PCAers are, for the most part, REAL Porsche guys. I remember going to a swap meet a few years back in which the most popular car was a 934esque 930 that could be most accurately described as a monster. I talked to the owner for a solid hour-and-a-half. The other car that drew a crowd was the hot rod 914 with a V8 and a very loud paint job. The 996s and Boxsters were ignored.

Dueller,
With that attitude, maybe you should stay home. If that chip falls off your shoulder, it could break your toes! Best, Tom |

FWIW the local Pcar organization has all types of afficionados from all walks of life and all age groups. To a man (and woman) we all poke jabs at the others' particular Porsche fetishes with good humor and no hurt feelings. To wit: I could show up with the pictured cache and everybody would "get it" and have a good laugh. So who really has the chip? Peace, jim |

Dueller,
I did miss your double entendre. I guess I took your (attempt at) humor at face value. My mistake. I guess you missed my attempt at humor, as well. Best, Tom Best |
Hah, I just figured that Tom was being ironic as well. I'm from such a cynical generation.
|
I'm so confused.
Irony. Cynicism. WHERE WILL IT ALL END? I mean...I went to the trouble to photograph redneck foodstuffs from my pantry on my ratty 911 just for *****s and giggles to make my buds on PPOT smile. See what self deprication gets me?;) |
Man, Oh man, do I ever feel your pain. Here's the rundown from our region...
January: Wine tasting party February: Nothing on the calendar March: Nothing on the calendar so far. Hell, I decided it was time to take one of the 911's in to have some rock chips "freshened up"...My wife can still drive her 911, I'll just have to chase her around in a 'Vette or 'Vair. EDIT: And no, we did not attend the wine-tasting party...We were out of town...hehe |
Hey, Budreaux...ever run No Problem events?
|
speakin' of stogies, the feds are hiking the tax on them by 56%...the tax is in place on April 1st...no joke.
Fuzzy dice? BTDT...They were NOT kindly received by some. Love the thread concept...LOL! |
You might be suprised. I somehow got got invited to a very snobish Porsche event in town, so as a joke I got there a couple of hours early and parked the SC right in front of the main doors. LOL as it turned out the SC was a big hit and most of the people there hadn't seen a SC in a while. Excellent wine, good food, and one or two quite good looking MILFs floating about too.

Did you ever meet Lisa Miller? Very good looking and drives a red 944. |
Try showing up at a meeting with a 944. It's as if you had leprosy.

Seriously, I may need to do a self check on my personna. Last night a woman I had not met but who recently started frequenting my wife's restaurant came up to me in a group and said "You know I thought you didn't like me, but now I realize you're a smart azz to everyone." She was quite pleasant about her observatiojn and almost seemed content with the fact that I treated her like all the other "regulars." Who knows? |

Ask her how she feels about golden retrievers and if, in your judgement, gives a great answer, set me up????? This is a great post, I have been cracking up on how it is going. But if it does get serious I am going to . . . ??? Oh hell, I forgot. |
