' gonna make one last try at getting in with the local Porsche club snobs
A Porschephile is a Porschephile. Since there are so few in my bucolic area, I'm gonna have to suck it up and try to get along with the wine and cheese set.
First order is to get the ol' girl cleaned up....so much pollen dust this time of year. Need to make a good impression...Zymol acceptable to the polish and pose crowd? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1236787062.jpg After I clean her up, I think I better take a peace offering of wine and cheese. Wouldn't you agree? And shouldn't I take enough for everybody to share? This ought to impress 'em.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1236787195.jpg Now...how many styrofoam cups should I take? |
Thats good enough to drink right out of the box

You'll need a plastic knife to cut your processed cheese food product...
|
some cigars..
oh, no spitting..especially into a can.. neat trick..sure to draw a crowd... show them your motor.. it's in the back amazing..what those crazy Germans can do... have fun..your counterpart is sure to be there.. Rika |

HAAHAHAHAHAH! http://websmileys.com/sm/happy/1459.gif
No longer a PCA member for the same reason. Stuffy, snobbish, cliquish, there were a few cool ones though. I expect a Ferrari club to be like that, not a club from a car that actually gets driven. |
Fuzzy dice.

Wow you got the good stuff! I usually bring my Government cheese....
|

vleveeta goes great with opossum. throw a carcass on the manifold. should be nice and cooked by the time you arrive.
p.s. these clubs usually meet in the same spot every week. be sure to mark your parking space with a nice big oil stain. |
Dueller that is funny, LMOAO!!!

Craig, you don't think I'm being too pretentious with the Ritz crackers instead of Saltines? I don't want to give the impression I'm trying too hard for them to like me....:( |
I was kinda spoiled in the Potomac PCA. There was a small wine and cheese contingent. But there was a much larger faction who were hardcore track junkies and/or DIY wrenchers. Our wine and cheese parties were really engine drop parties, usually early in the morning with donuts and coffee that sometimes went to lunchtime when we then ordered pizzas. Eventually, so many of us had done it so many times, that we were good and fast enough to knock out major jobs on our own without making an event out of it. Really kind of killed the clique too. For several years there was a party like this almost every Saturday or at least a tech inspection at a local Porsche shop. It all seems so 2003 now that we've all done it so many times.

I can't speak for the PCA region around here since I've yet to attend any of their events but I can say that the Vancouver Island Region is a fantastic group of down-to-earth Porsche enthusasts. I miss those guys (and gals)! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/sad2.gif |
Easy cheese and you're in!

Were the groceries meant to be funny? All 3 are on my short list when I stop at Rite Aid. Jalepeno cheese is my favorite, but Velveeta is good for grilled cheese and I usually get red wine box for the resveratrol.
