Pittsfield, Mass is an interesting part of the northeast (apologies to those who live there). There are those beautiful quaint Berkshire towns Lenox, Stockbridge, Egremont, and then there is Pittsfield..

I lived in Lenox (a year) and in West Stockbridge (7 years). I hated Pittsfield, except for Guido's.
Great Barrington is OK, except that Alan Chartock lives there, and I expect he is STILL a dick.

One of my friends was a 7th grade English teacher (if you met him, you would swear he was a gym teacher!). You wuold not believe the stories he had on teaching in Pittsfield.
