i would have kate getting caught doing something naughty and for punishment, i would have her clothes removed and have her displayed prominently, in chains, in the village square....and the DI people could devise an automatic pump-sprayer that would apply sun screen to her body so she doesnt burn up in the tropical sun and when the DI workmen have their lunch breaks, they can sit on benches and look at her while they eat their sandwiches
|
Its a good idea, except there isn't any kissing. Maybe- wait, I've got it. All three get caught kissing, which is forbidden by the DI. Then all three get roped up and sprayed with oil in their panties. There's three of them, so it could represent some kind of holy trinity. Yeah.

what about claire  cant you write her in there someplace? or is she in the dead-zone, or dead world or wherever the hell christian is
|
Yeah, I miss Claire, too. :( I also can't wait for them to bring back Desmond, but for very different reasons. Obviously.
I also think that Juliet wants Jack and Kate GONE. She has a good thing going with Sawyer, and she doesn't want Kate tugging at the poor schmuck's heart strings. She obviously wants to help her friends, but probably feels conflicted about whether or not they should stay. I didn't think much about their hugging out in the open - it was later at night, and obviously they don't have any reason to think that anyone suspects anything weird... although two DHARMA guys obviously do suspect something (the one who couldn't find Kate on the roster, and the one who was manning the Flame Station while building a model of the Swan). Tidbit of note: when Christian showed Sun the picture of the DHARMA Initiative in 1977, it's obvious that Jin, et al., are no longer with the DI in 1978. When he's looking for the photo, he says, "1972, 1978, aha, here it is: 1977." If they were still there in 1978, he wouldn't skip over that one to get to 1977. Another talking point: where the hell is Farraday? |

Yeah, I remember... I guess I just figured that they had no reason to suspect that anyone was watching them.
I guess I'm so wrapped up with examining the minute details of the show in order to put together the puzzle pieces that sometimes I overlook gaps in logic. Considering that the show is consistently painstakingly detail-oriented, I might have a bit too much confidence in the writers? |
i think the writers do the same....examine the minute details and over look some gaps in logic.... i still find it entertaining
|
How about the logic gap that began the whole thing; the airliner's fuselage comes apart at what... 3,000 feet? ...(remember the POV from the ground when "The Others" looked up and saw it)... and people survived that crash?
Almost laughable, really. Or maybe it's been explained and I missed it. |
hahah true! its a fun wed evening despite its ridiculousness

OK, so do we assume that Sun/Ben are in current time (2009) or in the future? If they are in 'current' times, as in three years after they left the island, then where is everybody who was left on the island besides Sawyer, Jin, etc..? When they go to the old Dharma buildings, they are deserted. So do we assume that everybody else who was in the first plane crash, (like Rose, etc) went back in time with the island as did Sawyer, etc, but where are they now in 1977 times?

The whole point is that the Island WANTS certain people to survive. To all appearances, Jack FELL FROM THE SKY into a field of palms and survived. As for the "other survivors" - Rose, Bernard, etc., I think it is assumed that they were killed in the "flaming arrow" attack... although I don't believe for a second that a character is dead on LOST without a convincing death scene. I KNOW that Mr. Earnst is dead, because I saw his ass blow up. I KNOW that Mr. Eko is dead, because I saw his ass get pummeled by the smoke monster. I KNOW that Charlie is dead, because I saw his ass drown unnecessarily. I KNOW that Alex is dead because I saw her take a bullet to the skull at point-blank range. We can only SUSPECT that other characters are dead - Rose/Bernard, Mikhail, Penny. |
