I've called 911 to report drunk driving and debris on the freeway. Knock on wood, I've never called for a personal emergency. Who gets charged if I call 911 to report a traffic accident and those involved don't need medical services.

I think this could act as a deterrent to calling at all. Looks like that's what they want. For now it looks localized to one community, but you can bet other areas are going to follow suit.

I see problems. In CA, the poor call 911 when their child has a cold. They tell the operator that the kid has a temp of 108* or that he's hallucinating. Some *** like that. But, these idiots are the ones not likely to pay any of the bills, paramedics and on down the line.

Meanwhile, us folks that have called 911 twice in our lives... oh well... f**k it.

I called in a drunk in Sacramento last night on I-5. She kept trying to put an 8 foot long car into a gap that was 5 feet open. After finally causing a rear-ender, I dialed 911. Was on hold for 3 minutes. When surly operator answered, I told her I had the license number of the felony hit and run on I-5. She said she was busy, and would call back for the number. Never did, and the felon exited the freeway in Woodland, unscathed.

f-it. I give up.

We already pay for 9-1-1 service in our phone bills. Bunch of double-dipping B.S.

It's not the phone call itself, it's getting billed for the response from emt's, police, fire, etc. like $350 per call.

We already pay for that too. Property taxes, income taxes, sales taxes, taxes on taxes...

Christ almighty, why does CUTTING SPENDING never enter into the discussion?

There are 8 foot long cars?

Call traffic investigations with the lic number. They'll appreciate it.

You went through Davis! Fun times. Typical of a Woodlander.

Edit:
Oh wait, you must have been coming from SMF. Davis is further... In that case she could have been cutting through the country to Davis. Also typical of the college trash here.

It was a little Honda. Dark green rattle-can paint job. Fart can muff. One on the car too. She was completely unaware of surroundings. Crossed thru the exit divider to make the exit.

Was coming from 80/5 intersection back to Lassen.

Prime example of DGAS. The operator on 9-1-1 was the same.

Sad.
