Beautiful Day for Tour de Houston
Warm, not hot, humid and a little foggy, but great conditions, no wind!
It's a fairly flat 70 miles. Well supported. First 35, great. We were keeping up 19-21 mph. Problem 1: Bad route marking near a rest stop, lead to several crashes, including one between myself and a my buddie. No one really hurt, but he lost the magnet for his front wheel. We get going again and finish up 35. Problem 2: On slowing down for our single rest stop, my chain jumped off the rear sprocket and wedged itself between the sprocket and the spokes, destroying 3 spokes. No repair possible. My first SAG ride. My buddy finished up the 70, in exactly 4 hours of riding (4 hours, 10 minutes with stops).

Nope, didn't make it that far before I lost the rear wheel.

Yep, doing the MS150 Houston to Austin.
I'm keeping the training up. Today was great, well, until I lost the wheel. I've been doing 60-100 during the week, and 100-150 on the weekends.

Thanks, this is my second time. I'll be doing the "challenge" course, which goes through a state park with serious hills.
