1969 Triumph GT6 Mk II Project FS

Hello guy's,

First off let me say THIS IS NOT MY CAR, it belongs to a guy at our local parts store we are on I-95 in South Georgia right above the Florida state line near Jacksonville.

The owner's name is GARY he can be reached by telephone at (904) 415-0273

Ok about the little car.

Gary is a Brit car guy he drives a Mini right now, he bought this Triumph in the early 1973-1974 era, it was a daily driver until twelve years ago when he put it up on blocks in a garage, it was running fine then. It has 64,000 miles on it. Last Oct. 2008 he bought a motorcycle and needed the garage space, he pushed the car out into the yard on his little dead end street and hung a for sale sign on the window it still sits there today.

I DO NOT KNOW JACK SQUAT ABOUT THESE LITTLE CARS.

I went over today Sunday 02-22-2009 and shot some photos of the car which are below. Here is what I noted, it is British racing green with a black interior, the car is complete, there is rust in the floorboards really bad on the passenger side you can see the ground, there is rust on the drivers side rocker panel under the door but not bad, there is rust on the edge of the wheel opening on the passenger front side but not bad, there is a dent on the drivers side rear quarter in front of the taillight area, the interior is all there but will need to be redone, all the glass is good, it is missing one taillight cover, all the chrome is there, the front bumper is pitted and so are some of the side window surrounds and will have to be redone, there is rust on the tray that holds the battery but on the drivers side there is a hole on that side but I believe the tray thingy can be salvaged, the motor is an inline six with two stromberg carbs and an aluminum air filter thing, the wheels are painted steel with little hub caps all are there, the tires are actually new but might be dry rotted, the car is a four speed, all the engine / trans are there, the driverside door panel needs a door pull and a window crank, thats about all I know. All the brake stuff is there but will need to be redone. Radiator and hoses are all there but will need work.

Price is $500.00 (five hundred) firm, if you like these little cars or just need some parts this seems fair to me, give him a call,

Here are pics if you want me to check on something send me a PM

Todd

Ugh. No, you don't.

Use that $500 and buy a trunk load of fireworks and shoot them on July 4th... it would be a better use of your money.

Those were a lot of fun in their day. Why he didn't put a cover over it 12 years ago is beyond me. Lots and lots of money needed for this car in restoration. So sad.

I saw a Spitfire Conv. in better shape last year sitting on someone's lawn for $700.....I was all excited, figured I could flip and make a few grand. Did some research first and found these old Tumpets don't bring much dough........Sad, I had many Brit cars in my younger days......
