The overall lesson: 1) This is the second most common injury in professional cycling and 2) don't hold onto the handlebars as you crash.

Anything that you stick out will get broken off. Wish I had listened- I have 8 bolts in my knee. Armstrong is a terrific bike handler with a generation of professional experience- most would say he did the right thing. Gary |
