I can't imagine carrying any gun in my pants pocket without some kind of holster or sheath to cover the trigger. It would be pretty unlikely to happen with a double-action revlover, but something with a lighter trigger pull could go off under certain circumstances.

I use one of those grips that have a hook built-in, so it "hangs" inside my back pocket. I wear a shirt, un-tucked, to cover the exposed grip. Assuming there's nothing else in the pocket (keys, money-clip, etc.), I wouldn't worry about the trigger getting snagged. Haven't shot my arse off yet.
