Tobra, Moses, et al...joint replacement apparatus suppliers?

I'm trying to identify a company from France that manufactures or supplies artificial joints (shoulder in particular) to U.S. doctors. Any ideas who it may be?

Are you thinking of this perhaps

http://www.theshouldercenter.com/Reverse-Total-Shoulder-Replacement.htm

reverse shoulder replacement, reverse in that the ball is on the torso side, and the cup is on the arm side, instead of visa versa the way the original equipment shoulder is set up.

Not familiar with companies that make the stuff, but could find out pretty easy

bet the company you are looking for is on this list

I used to work for DePuy and still have some hip, knee and shoulder samples in my basement.

Thanks guys...appreciate the leads. Reason I'm asking is I have a client that had TSR surgery and within 8 weeks there was a mechanical failure of the hardware. The doctor had to go in and replace the joint with a new one.

Apparently mechanical failure is more common in knee replacements since it is a weight bearing joint. I can find no documentation of TSR hardware failing like this one did. Even the doctor who is very experienced has never seen it in his practice.

Litigation has heretofor centered around acrtions and malpractice of Doctors. In this case I am convinced Doctor did everything properly and have told him as much in writing and absolved him of all liability. But you know docs and lawyers...oil and water He won't talk to me, which I understand...guess he feels if I sue manufacturer for products liability they'll accuse him of doing something wrong.

Basically I was looking for names of companies to do case law search on prior suits involving this type of product failure.

Thanks again.
