Wouldn't call them favorites, but these are my squadron patches.
![]() ![]() I have on of my crew patches around here somewhere, it is based on the Bad Boy Club logo, since most of the crew had flat tops at the time. If I can find it, I will post a photo. One of may all time favorites was the "Yankee Air Pirate" patches from the Vietnam era. ![]() Tom |

A great choice!
And the one that is attached to my uniforms directly over the heart; Just as General Patton would have it.

Same here! My dad was class of '62 out of West Point, graduated Airborne and Ranger schools and then took off to see some of Southeast Asia in 1963 with "Tropical Lightning." Had planned on being career Army, but ended up heading to graduate school instead, and was out of Vietnam by 1965.

![]() My wife is from just outside of Annapolis, so once a year she and my dad call each other to heckle over the Army Navy game. I started dating my now wife in 2002, and so far the competition has been a bit one-sided.

I took my kids to my Father's 50th West Point reunion in 2002...I was still active duty Navy and they were floored by all the, "Beat Navy" signs.

My grandfather designed this patch as a founding member of the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, which became part the 101st airborne. It's the only one with battle heritage for the 501st PIR. He jumped into Normandy and Holland, and was surrounded at the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne. He was standing in the room when Gen. Anthony McAuliff's response to the German surrender request was "Nuts!"
