For Your Perusal
When I was a denizen of the weekly auction scene in LA, I came by a painting by Ron Blumberg. It was titled, "Hollywood Hotel" done in his local landscape series back in the mid 50's to early 60's. I think for location and period specific LA his work is really great.

Don't know much about paintings & artists, but I was impressed with his range of expression.

Yup. Never heard of the guy, but the range is incredible. Much of it is derivative of course, and looks like he spent a good deal of time copying other styles in an effort to find something to call his own.
Maybe he was just a gifted copyist—and these are all copies???

Copies of WHAT?
I especially like the LA city scenes..they were all done with a pallet knife. Trigg sells his stuff in the 30K to 80K range.
