Ie8
On my homepage, I have a background .mid file,
on IE7 and below, when you go to the next page it will stop however on IE8 the .MID keeps playing On another one of my pages I have another sound file, you then get a mishmash of music. On the HTML, I have done it so it will only play the background music once. so question is there a way around this (setting on IE8) if not how prevalent is IE8? thanks

Personally, I hate web pages with sound.

Agreed.
It's considered bad form to have things run automatically. User initiated is always better. Quick Poll: How many of us surf with sound muted? I'm one.
