Moderation is so loose on this board it's practically nonexistent. Anything Porsche-related is considered on topic.

Why must you bring up memories of undergrad

actually I liked trying to work close form N-S solution, but I'm really a geek

And all three of those threads are comedy gold... if you can translate from whatever language they are typing in to English.

(27 and I hate people that type in "texting", unless they actually are on a T9 phone and even then its only tolerable)

These cars only have so many moving parts and the interesting technical issues have been covered ad nauseum after 8-10 years...before my time. The "search police" are always on patrol, although less strident as of late. It is helpful to gently guide noobs to the wealth of information here, but also to re-hash some common problems/projects.

Unfortunately there's little new left here to discuss, technically anyway, except the wildly esoteric, like the quality of plating on the mid-year brake calipers or the proper shade of black to powder coat your A-arms.

I think it's time to discuss how to save this forum before it completely degenerates to another "Open Forum," only with the occasional Porsche reference.

i have wondered that myself. anything with "show me" in the title should be in OT.

wayne posted some pics of his son in the tech section. (awesome photo) i sent him a PM asking why he did not post it in the OT, he replied with " anything 911 in the forum is fine"
i was a bit dissapointed in his reply, but it is his site.
i would like to see more of that stuff out of the tech side and leave it TECH only, after all, its not titled anything 911.

Do you all whine this much about everything else in your life? The threads had 911 content and the posters don't appear to be trolls.

Just because they are kids that speak/type like idiots doesn't mean they don't belong in the 911 tech board.

Why did Wayne post pics of the kid in the tech board? Because it's his board and he can do whatever he wants. The other reason is that a lot of the 911 tech frequenters don't look at OT but are like a family. I used to never come to OT back when I had a 911 and spent all of my time on 911 tech. Most of the stuff is 911 related and most of the way OT stuff gets moved. Most of the 911 Tech folks like it a bit loose.
