I hear you. After reading and posting every day for years, I started to see "the same old..." subjects/posters/opinions appearing. How many times can you get personally involved in another "Cheap HP for a 911! (install a SBV8)" or "How low is too low?" thread? It got to the point where it felt like BTDT, here's the link the thread which will answer your questions.

Even "Is there a God?" got tiresome after a while. So I've moved on to other things as well as working on my physical Porsche rather just virtual versions. I still post, but I'm more of a snob and only post on threads that are new or particularly interesting for me. After that I move on to my current obsession -- political news. I marval at the difference in coverage between AP, CNN, WSJ, Fox News and others. Are they even reporting on the same day in the world? After 9/11 I became a news junkie. After BO's election, I've become a political news/opinion junkie.

Oh, and my day job has become more demanding too.

I feel that the political posts were a huge mistake. I used to come here because there was a common interest that we all share. I felt a fondness for most of the posters, as I felt everyone was trying to help each other to the best of their ability, and that it all worked pretty well with just the right amount of good natured ball busting among friends.

The narrow minded nastiness that surfaced during the run up to the election really turned me off to ever venturing in to the putrid swamp that the religion/politics section has become.

I guess that I'm disappointed that some people that seemed interesting on many levels turned out to have a rage brewing just below the surface that got personally ugly when their hopes didn't pan out.

I guess as long as we're talking about cars, I'm interested. As for your crackpot political beliefs - keep it to yourself, this is about 911s. :D

Thanks, everyone!

Judging by the reply number I suppose its a common sickness. One of these days I will wake up eager to start spamming again. Meanwhile I will look for any pediatric or fluffer inquiries that may surface. :)

I spend quite a bit of time online and on this site during the "non Porsche driving months" (winter) and then when it warms up and the car comes out of the garage, I'm too busy to spend as much time online. The site gives me a way to stay sane during the long, cold MI winters!
