ftd.com / flowers = huge junk fees. WATCH OUT!

UGH, just bought flowers for Mother's day for new GF (she has a daughter) and her mom (which is like my Mom) off FTD.com.

$29.99 S+H on EACH one (even tho shipped to same addy since they will be together that day) didn't realize it until I stuck the card # in.

OUCH!!!

Fair warning if u gotta send flowers to Mom or whatever.

Too cheap to send the wife flowers, so I'm going to take our daughter to the local grocery store and buy a dozen roses for 10 bucks on friday and keep it at my mom's house until mother day.

FTD has an interesting business structure.

Sell stuff for about 5 days a year, and depend on the laziness of the average male.

$30 to send a living thing, which needs to be very carefully wrapped, by hand, and delivered by hand, to someone far away, all with 2 days notice?
Now, I just spent $55 shipping to send $45 worth of frozen Kolaches to my mom, since she decided to fall in love with them when she visited. THAT'S a rip

You're right.

Yeah, come to think about it I went elsewhere but got spooked with UPS delivering them. I seen what they can do to parts.

for a few extra it's probably worth the piece of mind. At least it's brand name..

Just look in the yellow pages for that town and call them directly. No money to the middleman and you get to talk to somebody who can look in the cooler and tell you what's good. I think FTD is a dinosaur of the days where you couldn't look up any florist, anywhere, anytime on the intertubes.

Never failed us.
