I don't watch any TV show regularly. But the wife (who's an NP) likes House, when she watches it occasionally. She finds it entertaining that the guy tells patients what he thinks (which may not be polite, but is usually the truth), as opposed to following along the social graces of this overly-PC world in which we live.

Of course, if a doctor truly acted like that in real life, he/she would get written up to the hospital or state medical board in about 2 weeks, and be out of a profession pretty quickly.
