i was brought up with by a crazy woman... not just once a month, she was like that all the time...and people wonder why i'm still single... I'm not having none of that **** anymore...

Obviously, as i spent so much time dealing with the crazy, i should write a book about it.

My method is simple: basic conversation, i think that this or that. (example, i think that the latest cd of the Cure is a bit overrated, it just doesn't work for me)

reply : you are such an insensitive and egotistical person, how could say such a thing? How could you do that to me.


option A : I'm sorry

That would be wrong.
Now you added ammunition to the list, to be used against you at any given time

option B : I just think you're a bat**** crazy broad

Obviously this will bring out the rage, and threats, but that's not a bad thing.


Reply : AAARGH (while finding something to throw), I'm going to throw this at you (found an set of coffee cups).


Option A : I'm sorry, please don't throw.
That , would also be the wrong thing to do.
Never give a crazy person the feeling of control, never validate crazy behaviour.


option B :
HAHA ,you can't throw or aim if your life depended on it !! go for it, it's your coffee cup set anyway !!!

reply : one coffeee cup smacks against the wall, not even close to target. (loud scream)


Option A : run (ok, you could, but maximize the situation, B is Better )
option B : I told you so, you can't aim


reply : Now the whole set crashes left and right...AAAAARG(finds more stuff to throw)


Now it's time to egress the warzone, fly low, nap of the earth...
She'de be pissed off to the point of not talking for a few weeks.. which frankly, when living with a crazy person, is the most peace of mind you can get....

Note : don't do this in your own room(s), where your own stuff is stored.
You do not want to see your hifi stereo or tv or other fun stuff crash against the wall.

Stijn, they are not all that crazy, there are good ones out there. Your story sounds more like absolutely nuts person that hormones would just aggravate.

Being a physicist by background, my theory is that men have a filter that only allows certain bandwidths through, but what gets through is undistorted. We're just blind to certain signals.

Women's filter allows all bandwidths through, but it is a distorting/crossover filter that ends up with a result in their brain that frequently bears no resemblence to the input signal.

The hormones just increase the distortion, sometimes by a lot....

That is my theory, which belongs to me.... just call me Ann Elk....
