The little things--for parents.
My daughter got a cheap, plastic guitar recently. She would bounce around the house mashing the strings with whatever tool she could find.
Her brother at some point ripped the strings off. My wife told me she said"that's okay, Daddy will fix it." Last night, while she was sleeping, I used some fishing line to restring it. I put it by her bed figuring it would just get mixed in with other toys by morning. This morning she came bounding down the stairs with her guitar in hand, smile as wide as ever, mashing the strings. "Daddy, you fixed my toy just like I wanted! "I love you!" These are the times when being a parent is the best jon in the entire world.

No doubt, being a parent is the hardest but must rewarding job on the planet. It IS the little things that make all the differance.

Very cool...and it gets better. My daughter, Arden, is graduating from a Catholic HS. There have been any number of dinners, masses (I always worry about random lightening strikes when I'm there)...driving home on Friday from a dinner she told me how much she loved me, how cool she thought I was, thanked me for the farm and her life. I could have popped. It starts early, seems like you're on your way

I have been running an exotic car repair shop out of my garage for a while.
 Unfortunately, some toys "need to go back to China" to be fixed.
