Just saw "The Wrestler"
......I thought it was one of the best movies I'd seen in a long time. Gut wrenching performance By Mikey Rourke. I give it 5 911's

I thought The Wrestler was a great movie as well. Quite dark.
Rourke is pretty good in Killshot as well, although, overall, the movie isn't as good as The Wrestler .

Also Marissa Tomei (SP?) gets a good long camera shot at the strip club several times......................just that is worth the price of admission.........

We just watched it this weekend too. What a great flick. Roarke was perfect for that part. No wonder the director wanted him for it.

Great movie! Rourke deserved the Oscar more than that POS sean penn.
Marissa Tomei was geat too (btw, she was born in 1964) (Gorgeous!). I work 20 minutes from where the 'strip club' scenes were shot. |

some interesting notes on the movie.. Friend of mine is good freinds with the stunt double for Rourke,, He had to lose weight and Rourke had to get pumped up for the role.. They both had to add each others tatoos so they matched.
I understand the toughest part of shooting the movies was keeping Rourke relatively sober,, guess hes' a fall down drunk.

My wife and I rented the movie a few weeks back. Awesome performance by Mickey Rourke. Say what you want about the man, but damn (and I was surprised) that man can act.
And yea...Marissa Tomei...She's my age and is just beautiful! |

I am a long time fan of his and really don't know what the f*ck he was thinkin with the terrible plastic surgery. I WISH I had his looks when he was younger........................it's almost like he purposely told the docs to make him look awful.........
