I just had a salad for dinner, lettuce and radish came from my garden. What's so wrong with that? :p

No innocent animal died. :D

Looks like my meal. I've been a vegetarian for about a year now...

m21sniper 05-28-2009 06:01 AM

I'd slash my wrists first. Life without beef....what's the point?

LOL, I thought this was going to be another thread whining and asking for advice about boutique ice cream. That was a real manly subject ;)

9dreizig 05-28-2009 06:25 AM

hey guys Vash is just ***** with you,, he's either a) got a big chunk of wild boar hiding off picture or b) is using that crap to bait a rabbit that he will kill with his bow and arrow
Right ?Vash ?? come on man...tell the guys the truth

ramonesfreak 05-28-2009 06:52 AM

looks good. i would have added some grilled tofu with a spicy sauce to give it some more excitement

i had a girlfriend that basically ate the above for breakfast lunch and dinner every day for 8 years. not once was she sick with anything. she could eat my flu infected boogers and not get sick

i hear ya. but - i was a vegetarian for 13 years. i felt quite well. certainly better than i do now

been back to eating beef the past 4 years and now, im sick constantly, my cholesterol is dangerously high and i have high blood pressure and digestive problems.

everybody is different, but im finding that eating beef makes me lazy. i now run to the burger joint when im hungry and get a burger and fries instead of being creative and making healthy meals consisting of vegetables and food free of saturated fats.

admittedly, im an obsessive compulsive dum-dum but, i cant help but think that beef is a killer for much of the population

everything in moderation as my granddad used to say i guess

Jims5543 05-28-2009 07:12 AM

All things in moderation. I had my BFI checked this morning. 11%. My goal is single digits. I hope to be there in 2 more weeks, I ramped up the cardio and weight training and I am strick for the next 14 days. My target date is the day we leave for the Bahamas.

I still eat steak, potatoes, and drink beer. Its how often I do this that counts. M-F I eat like the O/P weekends? I try to stay on a rough M-F diet but will not shy away from a burger (not fast food joint crap) or a steak.

Vash, keep up the good work as the results begin to become apparent, it becomes an obsession.

Isn't getting old fun? Everything tries to stick to your gut.

I really avoid fast food places at all costs. There is nothing like eating 2 meals worth of calories and 2 days worth of fat in 1 sitting.

I discovered the other day that Chic Filet has a grilled chicken sandwich served on whole wheat and no mayo. Score! 99% I have my food with me but in a pinch I am happy to know I can go there for something decent.... no fries of course. :D

And I couldn't imagine trying to crap all that stuff.

Seriously - asparagus alone makes your pee smell like the back end of a flea infested yack!! Putting all that stuff in at the same time has gotta do a number on your bowels! I just hope that vash has some level of intestinal fortitude!

I dont drink, smoke, or do any drugs. I dont even drink coffee.

But i will eat beef until the day that i die.

I'm like the opposite of a vegetarian. Besides french fries and lettuce on burgers, i really don't eat any vegetables at all. I like them but being single, well, it's not like i'm going to cook them myself...

When i was in my 30's I lived in Hawaii for 2 years. I got a lot of exercise, paddling hawaiin outriggers, diving, 10K's, weightlifting, surfing, open water swimming. While I was there I was a total vegetarian, felt fantastic, never sick, GAINED 20 lbs of solid mussle.

When I moved back to the east It was to difficult a lifestyle to maintain. I've been eating meat, fast food etc now for the last 20 years and feel like crap. I've lost weight as well.

I would have...
Taken the cucumbers and marinate it in a little soy sauce and garlic.
Tomato, broc and carrots toss in with your soup and make a hearty stew. Chop up the almonds and sprinkle over it when done.
Papays, peaches and berries as dessert.

Healthy does not have to be boring...

Ice cream
Cup of tea
Chocolate

It should be presumed that I won't ever get better. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my appointed person and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes, let the 'fat lady sing,' and call it a day!
