El Paso folks...

The space shuttle is currently sitting on the tarmac at Biggs Army Air Field, on it's way to Florida. It'll be leaving in the morning sometime.

Flyovers are possible tomorrow and maybe Wednesday for Texas, and maybe the Gulf Coast.

You think they'll give JSC a couple of nice big loops, maybe buzz downtown?

No, I don't think so either

I've seen a shuttle transported before. It's neat.

One of the coolest things I ever saw was the shuttle (think it was Columbia) getting flown in piggyback on the 747 - it was close to KSC and the 747 was setting up for its approach. I happened to be flying a Piper Warrior at the time about 2-3 miles away. Extremely cool.

I work about a mile from Ellington. It would be nice if they stopped in for a visit.

In mid december of 2008 the shuttle flew ovr JSC a few times o the back of the 747. It was damn sweet to watch. I got a video and a few pictures.

I only remember what day it happened because we still had snow on the ground from the previous night's snowfall.
