The next global crisis will be over water rights. I have absolutely no doubt about this.
Once we're done fighting over oil and energy (and we will eventually solve these problems or at least rein them in), we will have problems with clean water. Hell, it's already getting damn nearly impossible to get it here in the U S of A. Now think of how it is in third-world countries that outnumber us population-wise 1,000-to-1. Sources of CLEAN, unpolluted, potable water will someday be more valuable than oil, gold, uranium or rare earth metals. Ya can live without batteries. Ya can't live without water.
