Just kinda funny

I am sure the owners don't see any humor as yet.

lol... Not to get this sent to PARF, but this quote “My daughter and I were just in shock. It was really God’s blessing that we were OK.” is just hilarious. So it was only God's intention to scare the hell out of you?

I'm sure the lawyers won't find it quite as funny! The mother will most likely upgrade to a Mercedes 350 at least.

That's right! You don't see any platypus-kangaroo hybrids, do you?

I could post pics of the 1900 Porsche-Lohner Mixte untill the sun sets, but would that be necessary?

What is really ironic is that Hybrid-bashing keeps being reposted despite knowing.

It's actually not hybrid bashing, really, even though it looks that way. The thing is that hybrid OWNERS tend to be sanctimonious pricks, so it's fun (and easy) to mock them. And the poor cars -- not at fault, really, just pawns in the silly game -- are an easy collateral damage.

An hour later and the only indication that there'd been a problem would be a few leaves on the ground and the stump.

If Lockheed engineers were all cross-dressing dirty hippies, would you all bash the SR-71?

Only if they made sure to tell everyone they knew, at every available opportunity, just how "environmentally conscious" they were, and how this made them better than you.

She should aim higher -- as in a Mercedes S400 "BlueHybrid." Yep - we are diving in to the hybrid arena. Lithium ion battery packs, a 3.5liter Atkinson-cycle V6.

This ain't your tree-hugging hippies hybrid....

A misguided consciousness is a better sign than none at all(sigh)......
We live in a capitalistic democracy. If you don't like the ad, then change the channel. Don't want to buy the car, then drive another block.

Everyone is free to buy the biggest heaviest guzzler they can afford for their daily commuting. Everyone is also free to deny the effects of pollution and environmental changes, which has been demonstrated ad-nauseum on this web site.

Along with using such a vehicle comes the responsibility of paying the potential additional insurance costs from accidents, though. (FWIW, I find it quite fraudulant that SUV's are smogged as trucks, and insured as passenger cars.)
Call it socialism, but don't complain when you're stuck between two 400lb'ers on a long flight. Can't have it both ways.
