Here are the standard Black and Natural. These T's are identical to the 917 shirts, that is they have a longer, "fashion fit" that is close to the body, without being tight. I am 5'10" and 180 and the Large fits me perfectly. The Destroyed T's have the same fit, but are a little shorter. Someone wrote in that the Destroyed T's would look great over a basic LST, and I agree.

The black is very nice deep black. the Natural is unbleached cotton, maybe a shade darker than the dirty white destroyed, and has little flecks in the weave. Both are very soft, high quality T-shirts.

Thank you all for the orders so far!

Maybe I'm reading too fast and missing something, but it looks to me like the 'destroyed' effect shirts cost the same as the normal shirts.

Shaun, up my order to a 2XL destroyed black, and a 2XL natural.

Edit: How about a closeup of the graphics on the back of the shirt?

I'm so in - love the design, just not sure yet what style I want. How is sizing compared to the speedster shirts? The large in those was too big, medium probably would've been better.

When's the next kid's catalogue coming out?

Shaun @ Tru6 06-19-2009 05:11 AM

Good point, thanks Dave, I'll post a pic later today. And yes, the destroyed shirts cost me twice what the basic shirts do but I thought charging the same based on the basic shirts would be best for everyone.

Christien, the basic black and natural are the 917 shirts. The destroyed Ts fit similarly, but are 1-2 inches shorter. I'm in production for fall 09 right now and will start shipping after July 4, be ready for personal stuff later that month.

Shaun, if I can come up with an MC version is it worth the effort to you?

May I offer up some peculiar unsolicited advice? Script like that as drawn by an engineer would almost always have an absolutely vertical line (sometimes assisted with a straightedge) and the upper/lower limits of the letters would be on or about the guide lines drawn.

My first day of my first job as an engineer, I was moved away from any computers an sat in front of a Mylar sheet to 'letter' for one day. A crazy old German engineer proceeded to tear me a new one for the exact reasons I mentioned above.

I think this is a variation on the lettering style that einreb is referring to. This is probably even sloppier than what he's talking about, but it get his point across.
I think the style you've got is perfect for the napkin sketch look where the designers may have been shootin the sh@#t with a few cool ones after hours and are far removed from any straight edges.

Cool shirts by the way.

These are within Porsche's official guidelines, thank you.

Shaun - are you able to make a destroyed black with grey printing so that it looks more weathered and not so vivid? No problems if not cause I'll just order how you show the destroyed with white.

Shaun @ Tru6 06-23-2009 08:11 AM

Matt, the images here are Photoshop art (what I'll use to burn the screens) so there's very high contrast. I'm going to use a discharge ink system that essentially bleaches out the shirt and then lays down a tiny bit of ink, so it's really part of the shirt. The only caveat is that these discharge systems work differently on different colors, different dye techniques, etc.

I expect the destroyed black to look similar to this Little Traveler shirt (a little high contrast due to flash...white is really toned down in person). The basic black, I'll do the same and see how it comes out. If it looks good, I'll keep going with that ink. If not, I'll tone the white down with a little yellow and black to soften contrast.
