US Open Golf
Ok, I know there are some golf haters here but the US Open is our national golf event and this year has turned into a mud wrestling event, at least for the spectators. Who do you think will win, anyone going?
I was there Thursday, not a good day unless you were a duck. Rain, water, mud and more mud. Many shoes and socks left in the parking area at Jones Beach. So wet and messy it was comical. Broken umbrellas, people slipping on the muddy hillsides. Wish I had a camera! ![]() |

Who will win, big toss up. Lots more rain coming today. Looks like a monday finish. Wet course brings the shorter hiters in play. Weir is pretty good at staying in the fairways. Woods better play well today. Cut may get him.

Rainy weather sucks. we had a bit of drizzle here a few days ago, messed up my clean windshield.
No telling who will win but I'll be rooting for Mickelson. |

Bethpage Black is pretty close to my home...
Its interesting that between the weather and that the Black is a hard course, where the chips are falling.... Funny how some of the players use the NY crowd.... The players that don't get relative silence... Those that do get rock star cheers...
