and that I should sign up for a free years subscription to a credit monitoring service called Triple Advantage at ConsumerInfo.org. , an Experian company.Anyone else get a letter like this ? I checked with the FTC and the Credit Bureau and Experion seems legit though ConsumerInfo is only licensed by them .

It sounds more like a misleading sales pitch to me. Why would they recommend a specific agency for you to monitor your credit through? Triple Advantage is relatively new to the market but they are not significantly better than any of the other monitoring agencies out there.
