Small business Antivirus program
I work at a place with 14 computers. 100% peer to peer no servers. We only have two full-time people and one part time person. Most of the computers do not have email and only exist to run a piece of equipment. One is dedicated to a scanner, one is dedicated to a wide format printer, one is just for our pilot to control the mapping camera while in flight. All of them have internet access, all need to be protected. Our current anti-virus program is at the end of license and the upgrade stupid complex. We are ready to bail on them and find something better.
What would you guys recommend as a source of a good solid antivirus, anti spyware, yada yada program that fits our needs?

Malware bytes is what i use on all my dad's office computers, and all the computers of my immediate family. Best part?

I've been using Trend Micro for years. It works well.

Glenn is there a need for all of them to be online? Our ticket computer and the one we go graphics work off of stay off line. Aren't even hooked to each other.
Now AVG and Malware Bytes would both do. |

Yea all of them need to be on-line and on the network. We transfer files around, and need to do software updates. Some of them don't get on line very often. It would be a pain to have a computer isolated. I am downloading the trial of Trend Micro right now.

AVG gobbles up a lot of resources, so if you don't have an over abundance of memory, it will probably cause a performance loss. It did in all the machines i installed it in (and subsequently removed it from).
I was also just not impressed with it's actual anti-virus performance. |
