"Dad, which Michael Jackson died?"

Me:"What do you mean, there was only one Michael Jackson, well, actually there are many infact there was one in the NFL but there is/was only one."

Son: "No Dad, there was the hip hop black guy that sang ABC and was a really good dancer and the white guy that looked real scary."

Me:"Same dude."

Son: "No way Dad! No Way!"

Me: "Seriously, same guy."

Son: "That white guy was suppose to rape little kids (BTW - I did not tell him that, something he picked up from kids his age.)

Me: "I don't know if he did that. He was found not guilty of those charges but let me put it this way, I wouldn't let you or your sister within 100 yards of him. Gives me the willies.

TV has segment on the work done on his face and skin...

Son: "But I don't get it? What happened to him? Why did he do those surgeries?"

Me: "He wasn't happy and wanted to change himself. It just got away from him. See what happens when you have more money than anything else."

Son:"Thats really sad Dad."

Me:"Yes...sad indeed."

If MJ was a victim, the initial perpetrators of crime were his own family members. That practice continues in the next generation w/ the fact that the family marches the daughter out on stage to declare that her dad was good and loving.

That is the crime. Can't these people do anything w/o thinking how much they will make from the scam!

Maybe I'm naive, but I didn't think that the family marched Paris onto the stage so that she can express her grief for her father.

I'm sure for an 11 y.o child her father was good and loving, the same as for a 50 y.o. man when I lost my father.

One of the great things about the digital age we live in is that we get to watch these public trials as they happen. We get to see and hear everything presented in the courtroom. We also get to see and hear everything NOT presented in the courtroom. Ask the people who sat ON the jury if they would change their minds and the majority say yes. Why? Because they DON'T get to see and hear everything we do. Many of them say if they had heard evidence that was "insubmissable" they would have ruled the other way. How do I know? Many were interviewed and the publicly said so. Regardless, this is just my opinion based on the evidence I saw and heard. I never said I was right, just my belief.

Those people are all trash. They're doing all they can to milk this and hopefully pad their own pockets. How many interviews have they all done? How many books and memoirs will they write? It's not about family or love. It's about MONEY.

Keep in mind that a jury verdict is black or white, there are no gray areas. Either the person is guilty or not guilty.

That doesn't mean that people can't have their own opinion. I'm certain that many innocent have been proven guilty and vice versa. What it boils down to today is whether one can employ the best attorney money can buy and since Jacko was filthy rich, he got the best and the verdict was not guilty.

That only means in the eyes of the law he is innocent. He has most likely found out what the "Big Guy" thought of his behavior by now.

Who am I to judge? But since we live in America I'm allowed to have my opinion.

As far as parading an 11 yo out on stage, that was extremely poor judgement, she has been traumatized once again by the glitter and stupidity of Hollywood, the family and the media. I don't see that it served any useful purpose for her to go through that experience. It was the family trying to convince the world MJ was a righteous person.

I feel badly for the (MJ's) children as they will be wealthy but screwed up the rest of their lives. I also would agree with you that she most likely loved her dad, the question in my mind was did her dad love her as your father most likely loved you?

Most normal people outgrow their childhood, take on responsibility for parenthood and get on with their lives, other make a choice to avoid reality. It has nothing to do w/ wealth or fame, only with facing responsibility and accepting what comes with parenthood.

Black or white, MJ to me is an example of what is wrong with society today, not what is best about society as his handlers would have you believe.
