Shall I say, "I'm not surprised?"

this is the history of the site.....

the few, who constantly torment others without so much of a whisper, run the show. the are "contributors"....as I was told once.

My case this week is also nothing new. I took a well deserved (humorous) swipe at the worst whiner there, a retaliation of sorts for two years of his trashing me every chance he gets. For two years I've put with his crap, requests to the mod's to put a permanent end to his actions went unanswered, he came over here and tried to play nice, he pulled a tirade on one of the sponsors without reprimand, and I have finally had enough. In retaliation I was given a short vacation...big deal. I lost interest (didn't post on the site) for over five months due to many reasons other the the crap there, so a day/week/month/year/permanent removal is not a mindset changer.

the changing of mod's is also non-starter. as long as the charter is not applied equally to all who visit/use the site, the site will suffer it's losses as evidenced by your (Mason) leaving.

Gretch could have easily advised me to back off, but instead succumbed to the whiner and pulled the vacation trigger on me adding his own opinion, displaying his biases toward me.....Hardly the actions you would expect from "what should be" a neutral party. He has yet to reply to my PMs concerning the event, and probably won't----it's the R-list way.

There are many good folks here that have been run off for a variety of reasons.

It's too bad that disciplinary actions aren't applied equally so that everyone there is on an even playing field. My attitude would change dramatically if it were......

If you search 928Worldwide over there you will see that he is banned. They have deleted all of the threads that he started. They also deleted two threads showing support for Mason that were started after the ban.

OTOH Surfridermason seems still active.

I was politely asked to leave...because of repeated over-use of the advertising aspect of our sponsorship arrangement....I'm agressive and don't listen to the complaints and I should leave there.... . Oh well, the people there want everyone to pay 400% more for used parts then they need to I guess. I'll still give out hefty discounts and run large sales, but not for RL members....rather- we have a new forum we use.

Do you know what it's called?

Look for promotions from us around the new site, and incentives to join it.

NO POST FOR YOU! COME BACK ONE YEAR!

When I first picked up my 928, when I began my online search for info I came across Pelican first, then eventually found Rennlist. Pelican was extremely quiet back then, and it might be days before you got a reply to a post. It sure is great to see it flourishing with new users these days.

+1

If they offered to let me back in, I would decline.

-I wonder how long before Internet Brands realizes what is going on over there....and fires a few people. Pelican grows daily...

N!

Rennlist is a joke. Glad you've seen the light and decided to come over to Pelican. Maybe contact Wayne to see if he'd be willing to offer some of your products? Just a thought. Best to you.

Never. They haven't figured out Honda tech yet. Most of the smart guys left H-T (at least the AutoX/Road race guys) when the mods started getting stupid and formed their own forum. The funny thing is at H-T it wasn't because of people selling things, it was generally from honest criticism of companies that were sponsors.

The reality is that many people who are good contributors are also business owners, selling stuff/services relating to what they are knowledgeable in.

What Internet Brands doesn't get is that it is those very people who create value for the communities they buy, are being driven away by idiotic sponsorship requirements.

Then again, I largely bailed on Rennlist when they started running Motormeister banner adds, and I was a paid member.

$200 a month? Did you at least get a reach-around?

I disagree, as most who have left did so not because of business conflicts, but because of personal conflicts with those who just don't fit the R-list clique, myself included.

As I said in my above post, I've participated in the catbox fray for two years and consistently, I have been forcibly removed or given suspensions for some length of time.....this deal with Mason is no different, as there are those (there) who will kill his business with a stroke of the keyboard.

Once pounced upon, it's mob mentality rule.
