I watched the race on Saturday. (Congrats to Jorg on his FOURTH win!) This is the first ALMS race I've been able to catch this year.
Anyone know the deal with the new "Challenge" class? It looked like they were running 911 Carreras (among other cars) there. |
Aktung, look at that M3 GT2-- fuel filler right above the exhaust pipe! NOOOOO!

I was there and took this short video on the grid.
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sR9ulyVSB2g&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sR9ulyVSB2g&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> A buddy of mine took a picture of my with my 911 after the Paddock walk. http://gallery.me.com/trdoolit/10015...12480166820001 He took some great pictures that you can see here. I was playing around with a Flip Video camera trying to figure out the best way to use it to record stuff at a race track. The good news is that it's compact and discrete, the bad news is that it doesn't have any telephoto. Besides video that I took of on-track activities would be redundant with the SpeedTV coverage. |
