Everybody I work with gets one so why should I?
|
2008 was the 1st year in about 15 that I did not get a flu shot. 2008 was the 1st year I ever got the flu.
Maybe it's in my head, but I'm getting one this year. |
Yes, of course. Such simple prophylactic actions are the optimum method to circumvent known risk.

Do you doubters not get your tetanus vaccine updates? Would you abstain from providing measles, mumps, etc. vaccines to your young children? |
This year may be different from past years because the current swine flu is a newly mutated pig/human virus. It will continue to mutate and since nobody has had this version, we are all at risk of catching it.
In prior big pandemics, millions of people died because nobody in the world had any built up antibodies. I suspect that it could be even worse this time because the population is much larger and much more overseas travel is done. Personally, I think this is mother natures way of curbing the population overgrowth that we have had and I really don't care if 1/2 the population goes away. I just hope to be in the 1/2 that survives. If only I could choose who stays & who goes. |
I've never gotten one.
I also haven't gotten the flu since 1997. And when I do get it, I tend to be sick for about 12 hours. |
nope, i'm almost out of holidays, this will get me another 3 weeks in fall :D
