Do you guys carry a handkerchief?

My dad is seldom without a handkerchief and a pocket knife. For a long time I was the same, then stopped carrying the handkerchief for a few years, and now I'm doing it again. I have a stack of approximately a dozen in my underwear drawer.

So... do you guys carry one?

My grandfather did.

No offense but the idea absolutely repulses me.

I do carry a pocket knife.

My Dad carried a hanky.

I don't. I really can't remember the last time I blew my nose.

I do carry a pocket knife.

I almost never blow my nose... but I still like carrying the hanky, always clean and neatly folded. If I have an actual cold or something I usually use the soft type of tissues so my nose doesn't get red. I know that doesn't make sense... stop judging me!

When I see old folks pull one out and give a room shaking blow and then stuff it back into thier pocket I want to introduce them to a new fangled thing called a kleenex.

Never, don't want to carry a juicy snot rag in my pocket, hey it might be a "Chick Magnet" but I don't care. Anybody remember gramma pulling a wet Klennex outa her sleve or betwix her hooters to wipe you face as a kid? Sure taught me to wash my own face cause that Klenex was never new. You young pups got it good.

yes, but it's more bandanna than "Hankie". One of those red or blue or black ones. I use it in a lot of ways. Now if I'm in a suit, always a white, folded and monogramed. More show than blow.

I think there was a time when I was a kid and my mom had me carry one. I'd use it too when I was sick. It also repulses me.

I rarely have to blow my nose these days, and I don't run into many crying women who'd want an offered hanky. I guess it could be used to wipe sweat from my head, but then I spend most of my time in AC. I just don't have a need these days.

I do carry a pocket knife all of the time.

I have horrible sinus problems and get nosebleeds once in a while. So yeah, I've been carrying hankies since about grade school and always will.

Sure. I keep it next to my pocket watch, slide rule, and brass knuckles.

Yeah, I carry one never know when you may need a clean piece of cotton cloth. 30 years ago at a fancy dance party a buddy of mine spilled champagne on the dress of his date, I was the only guy at the table with something to immediately address the situation. To make a long story short, I married that pretty lady and to this day she speaks of that occasion. However, there have been unexpected nose bleeds, sneezes, tears and stuff from the kids over years. Ya just never know when ya may need a clean piece of cotton cloth in right away.

I see them as throwbacks to the days before ubiquitous tissues. I rarely am far from a tissue, napkin or even TP if the need should arise, so I see no point to hankies.
