Moses/Livi: Need some help

Backstory: Gf and I rode a rollercoaster yesterday evening. We sat in the same 2 person car. It was a tight fit for the both of us, but we made it work. During the coaster she says that I bumped into her side. After the roller coaster she said she was experiencing some pain while breathing in all the way and holding her arms up while driving. It also hurts during coughing and sneezing.

I prescribed two tablets of Motrin last night thinkings maybe the pain would be less this morning. Well she say's the pain has not lessened, but thankfully has not increased.

Methinks it's bruised ribs. Any ideas before I tell her to just man up and go to the hospital?

Thanks guys!!!

go see a Dr..
'bruise' could really go south with just another cough..
recovery is a breeze..but you need to know what she's got..
most likely your right...
in hindsight I thought so too..until I was laying on the table..
watching folks around me get busy fast.

I'm no doctor, but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

That said....

I'm not going to say that the only way we can give a proper diagnosis is to have topless pictures of her torso... for medical purposes only I assure you. We have to be able to see the area and surrounding areas.

Why would the two of you in a two person car be a "tight" fit?

Well it wasn't exactly a tight fit. There was plenty of room in between the two of us, but during a hard turn I must of knocked into her fairly hard.

Roller coaster bully.
Good thing there weren't any skateboards around.

Ugh wouldn't that be fun. Thankfully I neither want to be married, nor have children.

Where exactly is the pain?
Is it very local or spread over that thorax half?
Any visible bruising?
Any tenderness over the appointed area?
Feeling along the ribs - any points more sensitive?
Breathing pain only on affected side or both sides of the chest?
Substantially more pain with a deep breath?
Any pain in the stomach below that part of the chest?

Tom, I'm pretty sure it's cause you got her pregnant... or maybe just some bruised or cracked ribs. Don't worry, they'll be better in a few months

Happens all to often in kart racing.

Yeah she has already made up her mind. She will be seeing her doctor tonight.

Cross fingers it's just a few bruised ribs.

Maybe you should go do a "visual inspection" and report back. Pictures won't hurt either.
