Looks like a car you could use as a DD without worrying too much about nicks and dings. cripes, I love that color too.

The interior work wouldn't bother me one bit.

I had my dad's carrera cab for a few days last week, and I just can't get the sounds out of my head.

You mean baby/booster seats? I've seen pictures of them... that's definitely a selling point I've used in my relentless lobbying

Add in three point belt conversions to the back seat and you dont even need car seats after a certain age....

What's wrong here? 58,000 miles and the interior is shot? Red flag. $10,500 is really low for that car. It will be bought quickly regardless of hidden issues.

58k miles with a valve job.

I wondered about the interior too, but sun + heat could kill the dash, a fattie could kill the seats, and who knows about the headliner. Ultimately it wouldn't matter... if the miles were legit, the engine strong and all else checked out, that's a whole hell of a lotta car even if the seats are milk crates and the the interior is wallpapered.

I $#%$ing love that color

Have someone look at it. Once they do, I bet the results will let you start sleeping again. Every too cheap car I've seen was cheap for a reason. Then again, you DO hear about people getting great deals sometimes. I'm just not that lucky.

Well known issue with the 3.2 engine eating valve guides around the 60K mark so this does not disturb me. As to the interior, a year out in the Nevada sun would kill any interior. As far as fixes on 911's go, interiors are the cheap part. Careful searching of the Pelican classifieds would get you a tan interior, including seats, for less than $1000.

My thoughts too. Having the valve job already done would give peace of mind. We bought dad's 86 when it had 65k miles, and I cringe at the thought of it starting to smoke.

The fact that the interior is in bad shape wouldn't concern me one iota. Replacing an interior would be a fun, relatively inexpensive project.

Newish tires too

I saw that too - but the divorce would cost me well north of $10,000

I don't think this price is anything special. The market is really bad for these right now, and aside from the low mileage, there isn't anything really desirable about that car.
I bought my car two years ago for that price. It had high miles, but was in better shape.

What really excites me these days are the good prices on engines - you could buy a $4,000 roller and a $8000 3.6 or 3.3 turbo and have a serious hotrod.

I'm with Milt. Only 13k miles in 10 years and a shot interior. The mileage ain't right. In my book, interior wear is far more useful in determining the use of a vehicle than mileage. You ain't gonna wear a heel mark in the carpet after 50K miles.

That said...a leakdown will tell you what you need to know. And there ain't nothin wrong with a 100K mile Carerra with a fresh top end at 50K miles and a new speedometer.

I'm also with Milt. Sounds suspect. Smyrna, GA. Was the car windows left open during a Cat 1 or Tropical Depression? Is that the original paint? How can the interior be shot from weather but the paint be in such nice shape? Was it even a storm that tore up the inside?

Stolen, stripped, put back together with whatever parts from a junkyard? Gotta' wonder...

Mileage sounds suspect too...
