I drove one a few weeks ago, and I have to admit I really liked it.

Biggest drawback is that $%#$ transmission. If it were a regular 5sp, it would be tons of fun to drive the pi$$ out of

They do look like fun. They're chick magnets too out here in the Glitter Dome, which is even more fun.

5 speed, huh? Isn't there a slush box that could fit in a Smart? I dunno myself. It might be worth a try in this little Brabus version.

Didn't someone out there stick a Hayabusa engine in one? Seems like it would be cheap to make the thing go like stink...

When ever I see one on the road, I literally burst out in laughter.

If there are two adults inside, their shoulders are usually rubbing and they
are never smiling.

"BRABUS" is a perfect name!

...like two 'boobs' in an undersized bra - for sure!

The Habu takes up the entire right side of the cab. So where's a person supposed to put his Starbuck's cappuccino?

No worries. They appear so top-heavy, I feel certain I would catch up and pass them as they roll it over in the first, high-speed turn!

I just find some cars funny looking ...this is indeed one if them.

I drove my neighbor's Smart car. What a piece of crap. Rough and slow and very poor driving dynamics in every category.

Anyways, here's the part of the article that pretty much sums up the Smart car:

One man who parked his Smart car that way said police woken him with the message that his car had been pushed into the canal.

“Several weeks ago the same thing happened to my companion’s Smart,” Casper de Jong said. “In both cases the Smart was declared a total-loss.”

With a name like that, how can one not own a pair of back-less leather chaps?

That's the exact thoughts I have when I see Harley's!

Yes. That's a given with me as well. Especially when ridden by guys named Bart or Moose.

Might be something that is lost in translation as this could easily mean that its he is living with a woman, just not married. Also, Casper de Jong is a relatively ordinary name in the Netherlands. Not to imply that there are no gays in Amsterdam though. http://www.amsterdamgaypride.nl/
