I guess I will add it to the list... Going to be a while before i can get to it....

Rick V 05-28-2011 04:44 PM

Just think of it as you are providing the good people of Ok. free road lubricant.

porsche4life 05-28-2011 04:46 PM

Yes, also lubing the floor in the bay of my parents office...
And the whole underside of the motor is coated with scuzz, so it starts smelling like hot oil in the car as it warms up....

Rick V 05-28-2011 04:48 PM

Free rustproofing. Sheesh, kids. :)

porsche4life 05-28-2011 04:51 PM

Not many girls like smelling strongly of oil while out on a date..... ;)

When I find the one that does though, you can bet your ass I'll marry her. :D

Rick V 05-28-2011 04:57 PM

Sorry Beth doesn't have a sister in your age group.

porsche4life 05-28-2011 04:59 PM

This girl I run around with some is close... But she comes from die hard Corvette fans...

I'm just not sure if I could be married into that....

Rick V 05-28-2011 05:00 PM

Agreed

porsche4life 05-28-2011 05:02 PM

Her dad and grandpa are both damned fine diesel mechanics though.... I don't like working on the big trucks...

Rick V 05-28-2011 05:04 PM

I work in a big truck shop but all I do is state inspections and D.O.T inspections. There is no way in heII I would ever work on that crap. They are fun to drive though

outside of a full repair on the oil pan gasket, you could check to make sure all the bolts are tightened properly. it won't completely fix things, but it could slow the leaks.

hey guys.

have i mentioned how happy i am since i switched razors? seriously.

i bought a safety razor a few months ago. it is the biz. i will never use a disposable again.

random, i know, but i wanted to share the good news.

slodave 05-28-2011 06:03 PM

Or you can grow a beard and forget razors all together.

slodave 05-28-2011 06:05 PM

The Les Paul is basically done. Sprayed the last coats of lacquer today. Now it hangs in the shop, curing for a few weeks. Then the final sanding, buffing and put the electronics in.

i would do exactly that. except that i do not have enough facial hair to pull it off. total bummer. i'd love to have a proper goatee or full beard.

anyway, for those of us that require shaving, the safety razor is an excellent option.

porsche4life 05-28-2011 06:10 PM

Exactly.... No razors...

The girl I am running around with this summer is the dtr of one of my dads highschool friends. He was asking me the other day if I lost my razor.

that is really cool. i have looked at a bunch of the pictures, etc., on that thread. what a work of art. you, sir, have skills.

slodave 05-28-2011 06:49 PM

Thanks, D.

I wish I could parlay these skills into paying work.

nynor 05-28-2011 06:58 PM

i think you can. parlay those skills into making slodave guitar builds. honestly, the guitar you are building is a work of art.

i am surprised that no one has hit you up to build them a guitar.
