Keep the snow up there until late Tuesday night, I gotta get out of here around lunch tomorrow.

My tire guy, actually named Guy, looked the old New tires over good and said they're not dried out at all, like brand new nothing to worry about, "must have been stored in the dark." Drove great on the way home. The others were 235/70/16 these are OEM 205/80/16, seems to ride a bit smoother, steering is a little easier, and it accelerates just a tad quicker. They are Goodyear Wrangler Mud and Snow. Rover is ready for me some winter!

Richard, everytime I go in there it feels funny saying "Hi Guy" and knowing that is his name not just a general greeting.

I dodged a bullet yesterday. My dad asked me "How are you at changing thermostats?" Of course my response was what thermostat, the one on the wall for the house or the one in your car?
It was the car thermostat. He has a 2007 Toyota Highlander. I googled the instructions and there are a LOT of steps before you ever get to the "remove thermostat" step. It was 3:00PM so I begged off the job. Especially at his dark tomb of a garage with limited tools. Today he drove it a short distance to a local shop and on the way there the check engine soon light and some other warning lights came on, and it started getting hot. It looks like he has several issues to get fixed. I don't know beans about Jap cars and I have never worked on one. It ain't gonna be just a thermostat change. He can afford to pay a professional that has the proper testing equipment and training to do the job. I would have been at it for a long time and than discovered all the other problems. It would have been a giant cluster fuch. |

Evening guys.
Wife's been down for count for the past 22 hours. First 14 wrapped around the toilet, then out cold in bed all day. Meanwhile, kids are home from school on winter break and I'm not. Trying to work. Good think I cancelled the trip to Tallahassee. |
