I think there's someone on the Turbo forum (or was it the Technical one?) that's selling a set of freshly reconditioned ones for $2800 USD.

Geronimo '74 06-29-2011 01:08 PM

I bought mine a while back for 1500, saw a set a few weeks ago for 1200 and now a set for 1700...(including new tires and centercaps.)

They're not that expensive over here.

Morning Rick.

What did the SIL do?
Last I heard, he let your car stand by the side of the road and now he's wanted by the cops and the male part of the V family???
He must have F-ed up good to be this deep in doodoo...
I hope all is well with your daughter and grandchild.

(note to self, buy kevlar before visiting Rick)

He lost his temper, he hit my baby and threw a phone which hit the grandson. The fukkin cops got to him first. He is in way over his head now. I think he is leaving the state this weekend and heading back to the rock he crawled out from under. I talked to the neighbors that live across the street from the daughters house, a bunch of drunk assed rednecks. They are not happy with him. He is a marked man in these parts, and with the son living less than 500 yards away from the daughters house it is a mine field. We may talk slow in these parts but we take care of our women folk. ( the sil is from Pittsburgh)

evening guys.

Geronimo '74 06-29-2011 08:59 PM

Morning.

I think he's lucky the cops found him first.
To hit a woman is to stoop very low.

Porsche-poor 06-29-2011 09:15 PM

I was raised to never hit a woman. Ever! Even if she started it.

My brother didn't allow anyone to go out with his daughter unless he approved of the guy first. To get approved the guys had to have Saturday breakfast with my brother until he told them it was okay to ask her out. Besides his own criteria my brother did ask his daughter if she liked the guy before giving the okay also. That way she never had to turn down a date, all she had to do was tell the guys to ask her dad. The guy she married went to Saturday breakfasts for 1 year before getting the okay. It's been 19 years and 8 kids and they are still married with no relationship issues. If he ever hit her I don't think the Police would ever find the body.

That's a good tactic.
I guess a daughter is a big thing for a daddy, even more so than a son.
I know it would be for me.
Emancipation is good and all, but men should still take care of women.

Morning, G!

That was a good answer in the red box. :D

Geronimo '74 06-29-2011 11:50 PM

:D I'm surprised you hadn't read that one before. It's a web classic.

350€ gets me a Ruf steering wheel, but i still haven't seen pics yet.....

My latest silk screen pretty much worked! I bought some new material, has slightly bigger holes. I'm still having trouble with the smallest of letters coming out properly, but the ink laid down nicely. The next screen should nail it.

slodave 06-30-2011 12:21 AM

A bit of PS sharpening was added, much better in person.

Geronimo '74 06-30-2011 12:29 AM

On what surface did you do that?
Glass??

For the model name, I vote "Slodave Special, limited edtion"

slodave 06-30-2011 12:37 AM

Yes, my glass, dining room table. :D It closely simulates the surface of the headstock. ;) Once dry, a razor takes it right off.

Model is as the pic shows. :) It's a copy, down to the names. I have mixed feelings, but I may add something to my first electric. That's my abomination, so, gets my name. :D

Geronimo '74 06-30-2011 12:43 AM

So you're not stopping after this one.
One day, people will pay top dollar for a Slodave Special. :)
